we are researching the future of generative design, topology optimization, and manufacturing, including atomized slicing for non planar FFF.

we fund & contribute to open source projects which sustain thousands of users.

All orders ship from the western US. Shipping included on domestic orders over $50. International shipping available — duties and taxes are your problem, sorry. 4-8 wk lead times on most orders, please be patient 🙂.

FAQ

What is snowpaca?

A tiny hardware shop that makes custom PCBs and dev tools.

Why checkout via mail?

We are small enough that we process orders manually, and so we don't need to use some storefront service.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship via USPS or DHL depending on size. You are responsible for any import duties, VAT, or mysterious customs fees your country invents.

Are your designs open source?

Kinda, if you have purchased anything from us we will offer you permissive licenses and source material (if you ask!) such that you may clone, fork, or sell your own version — we don't mind. Attribution is nice though. We are working on gradually open sourcing everything to the public, but theres a lot of stuff, so hold on tight!

Can I get custom PCBs fabricated?

We don't offer a generic PCB fab service (JLCPCB already exists and they're great at it). But if you have a cool project that aligns with our vibe, email us. We sometimes collaborate.

What solder mask colors do you use?

We pick colors that feel right. mainly white/black/purple.

Can I invest in snowpaca?

Invest by buying a kit and telling your friends. We are not taking funding. We are taking naps.
